The Jade Egg practice (also known as the yoni egg practice) is one of the oldest and most beautiful sexual practices for women.
This practice has its protocols, rooted in the Taoist tradition. It has its pitfalls – in proper guidance isn’t provided. And it has its own time of maturation (inclusion into a woman’s daily experience).
With the help of an egg-shape carved semiprecious stone (made from jade, quartz, obsidian, jasper, amethyst, etc.), this practice can bring excellent benefits to women of all ages.
Benefits
With the help of an egg-shape carved semiprecious stone (jade, quartz, obsidian, jasper, amethyst, etc.) this practice is designed women of all ages to gain:
- body awareness & connection
- internal focus on body, sensations & emotional states
- vaginal tone, agility & dexterity
- increased capacity for pleasure (not only sexual)
- increase in vitality & sexual libido
- balancing & grounding of intense psycho-emotional or physical states
When done correctly (with proper preparation of accessories, body, and mental awareness, with respecting the body’s capacity to work at any given time and with appropriate relaxation and stretching after the practice), it can provide women with a more vibrant, intense & youthful approach to their sexual expression.
I frequently facilitate a live practice, in Bucharest. The next event is presented here: https://fb.me/e/2lS8MNWci
If you cannot attend live, then below you will find details for an online version.
FAQs:
1. Could you please give me more details than those presented here?
You can do more research online. There is plenty of information out there, in both text & video format, regarding this old Taoist traditional practice.
If you have the time, here are two books recommendations: “The Emergence of the Sensual Woman” by Saida Desilets and “How to Use the Yoni Egg for Sensual Healing” by Grace Diaz.
Yet, do remember that any intellectual knowledge does not compare to the actual, physical practice that you get to integrate for yourself. This needs to be acknowledged here.
2. Are there any restrictions?
I do not recommend this practice to women under the legal age.
I also do not recommend this practice to those who have not had penetrative sex, who have recently given birth or have had any medical interventions in their vaginas in the past eight weeks.
Their bodies need to recover before taking on any such endeavor.
Also, before taking this practice, do consult your OBGYN or any other pelvic floor health practitioner you work.
3. What exactly do I do in practice?
You will listen to introductory presentations, and you will become familiar with the types of eggs. You will have presentations on the implication of the physical, psycho-emotional, and energetic layers of this practice. You will learn and do the actual practice under my guidance. You will understand the protocols—the DOs & DON’Ts.
4. What if I do not do it regularly?
This is entirely up to you, your body, and your dedication to the practice.
5. What happens when I am at my menstruation?
During the menstruation time, I do not recommend doing the exercises with the egg. Those days are for rest and for allowing your body to do its natural and biological function. You can either do external practices (such as breathwork, voice exercises, touch, etc.) or use guided focusing tools on connecting to your internal states, dispositions or simply do inner contemplation.
6. How should I prepare?
Wear comfortable lounge clothing, have a glass of water with you and make sure you switch your phone on silent mode. Allow yourself to focus on the practice and your body.
7. Do I get guidance for purchasing my egg?
Absolutely. In the sexDOJO, I speak in detail about the most indicated materials, the size of the egg according to your body, how to get your egg evaluated by a specialist (to get 100% confirmation the egg is made of what it says it is). I also give recommendations of yoni egg suppliers (both local, as well as international).
You will get all the information you need to make the best and most informed purchase for yourself.
8. What if I don’t like the facilitator?
You can check out some of my free resources to see what my attitude is towards my work. You will know in advance if you like me or if you could work with me 🙂
The atmosphere in my classes is poised, calm, grounded. I facilitate slowly. I guide around internal states & sensations, more in the sense of meditation.
